Teaching computer science and AI

Project-based engineering courses, curriculum development, and instructor support.

Northwestern Center for Talent Development

I teach computer science and computer engineering topics through Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development (CTD). These are three-week intensive summer courses for gifted high school students.

For the last two years, that work has included building AI applications with Codex.

Courses I develop and teach

AI Engineering

AI Engineering is a project-first course about building dependable software with models, agents, data, and real interfaces—not simply learning how to chat with an AI.

Build Your Own Computer

A computer becomes understandable when every cable, address, signal, and byte has somewhere concrete to go. Students assemble a complete 65C02-based machine and bring it to life one subsystem at a time.

CPU Architecture

CPU Architecture begins below assembly language, where voltage becomes logic and logic becomes a machine capable of following instructions.

IoT engineering

Connecting software to the physical world through connected devices and engineering.

Curriculum for your program

I work with schools, colleges, enrichment programs, and professional learners on course design, sequenced lessons, labs, capstone projects, assessments, and instructor support. We adapt the starting point, pacing, and assessment to the students and time available.

I have also developed iOS curriculum for Chicago-area high schools and taught professional workshops.

An LMS built around my teaching

Turing Guild’s LMS began as software developed before AI. I used Codex to substantially expand it into a bespoke environment for the way I teach, with course resources, labs, quizzes, grading, and announcements.

Tell me about your process, your students, or the software you want to build. We begin with goals, constraints, and timing, then agree on scope, deliverables, and fees before work begins.
