Windy City Lab is my consulting practice in Chicago. I am semi-retired and choose a small number of projects that interest me. You work directly with me on the decisions, engineering, and adoption.
Start with one workflow
We walk through a process with the people who know it, examine example inputs and outputs, and identify where AI could help. A workflow review can stand on its own: a workflow map, opportunities, and a recommendation for a first pilot, including evaluation and human review.
Any implementation is scoped separately around the systems, access, and support the project needs.
How I can help
Understand
Identify the friction, available data, and a focused first project. Agree on what would make it worthwhile.
Build and integrate
Develop a prototype or custom tool, connect the necessary systems, and test against real examples. Decide where people review the result.
Support adoption
Work through the new process together, document it, and help the team learn when to trust the tool and when to question it.
Possible starting points
Document reading and re-entry, finding knowledge in internal material with sources alongside answers, or a focused application where existing tools do not fit the workflow.
