MyQuickBooks began with a practical decision: replace my QuickBooks subscription with a system built around what I actually need. Codex helped me build the implementation and now helps me use it as a local bookkeeper.
Business and home, together in one workflow
I use it for the books for my company, Windy City Labs, and for home budgeting, retirement planning, and keeping track of investments. It gives me a way to work through these questions with Codex using my local records.
A real ledger, with review built in
The application uses a double-entry ledger, stages statements and bank feeds for human review, tracks bills and payments, produces financial reports, checks ledger integrity, and keeps local reports and backups under my control.
Why this project matters to me
It is software I rely on in daily life. Building it turned AI from a tool for answering questions into a collaborator in making and operating something useful.
