Building with Codex

Useful software begins with work I understand and a question about how it could be better.

From a real need to a working tool

Each application began with a concrete process: where is the friction, which constraints matter, and what should remain under human control? Codex helps me develop and refine the software through use.

The way I work

  1. Understand the work

Start with the people, inputs, decisions, and constraints of the real process.

  2. Define the boundaries

Make clear what the tool can do, what remains local, and where a person reviews or approves a result.

  3. Build with AI

Use Codex as an engineering collaborator while retaining architectural judgment.

  4. Verify in reality

Check the behavior against actual examples and refine the system through daily use.

Some projects use AI inside the product. Others show how I use AI to develop software for a specific need.
